Description
The 56-inch pipeline starts from Kuh Sefid Village (Qom Province) and crosses between the boundaries of Namak Lake and Howz-e Soltan Lake running through the extremely rugged and swampy terrains before reaching Charmshahr. The 56-inch pipeline has expanded the gas transmission pipeline network operating through Tehran Province, Semnan Province and Northern Iran. The pipeline route was selected by the client due to its strategically significant location as it does not intersect with the South-North Corridor. The relevant engineering techniques, machinery and equipment were used to install the pipeline, pig-launcher and LBV stations in the swampy and lacustrine terrains. 25 km of the pipeline trench is lined with Geotextile pipeline weights (GPWs) to prevent the pipes from floating in the lake.
