Description
The third block (2B) of Khajeh Varzaqan 4-Lane Highway (from 760+29th to 760+37th km) with a length of 8 km is located in West Azarbaijan Province. It was aimed at promoting residents welfare and well-being and facilitating their commuting trips from the city of Tabriz to Sungun Copper project site.
At the time when Sungun Copper project became operational, the highway was one of the most congested, crowded, and accident-prone roads in the region. The third block of the highway was constructed with the collaboration of General Directorate of Roads and Urban Development of East Azerbaijan province and funded by Azarbaijan Copper Industries Company.
Scope of Work
- Supply of all the materials required for the construction of roads and buildings (bitumen, rebars, graded earth materials, etc.)
- Performing all the operations associated with the construction fo tehcnical buildings, U-turns, entrance and exit ramps, packings, bridges, street gutter guards, and parapets, and installation of traffic signs
- Performing all roadbed preparation and asphalting operations
- Drawing as-built plans
