Description
Bakhtar Petrochemical Group has dedicated IRR 800,000,000.00 to construction of Gurdim Shrimp Farming Complex in Konarak County, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, with annual production of 4,500 MT.
This shrimp farming complex is the second one in Sistan and Baluchestan Province which is meant to develop fishery in the province and subsequently result in local economic boom.
This complex will be constructed on a land in an area of 550 ha including 22 farms. In each farm 3 water storage ponds and 13 shrimp farming ponds will be constructed, totaling 48 water storage ponds and 304 shrimp farming ponds.
Construction of Block A of shrimp farms including 7 farms and each farm consisting 15 ponds was kicked off by Iran Ertebat Engineering Company at the beginning of year 1399 (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021).
Scope of Work
- Constructing 7 shrimp farms including 3 water storage ponds and 12 shrimp farming ponds each one in an area of 1 ha
- Constructing pond dikes with trapezoid cross section 20 m wide and 3-4 m high, and dike slope of 1:2 and 1:25
- Constructing drainage system and trimming it, 25 km
- Disposing waste and removing debris and extracting clay from mine to mix with sand and compacting dikes of the ponds
- Removing excavated soil and transferring it to borrow pits
