Imam Ali Expressway water and gas transmission pipeline

In order to overcome Tehran’s South-North traffic problems, Tehran Municipality decided to construct Imam Ali Expressway and resolve the relevant construction site conflicts. To this end, removal of two water transmission pipelines (2,000-mm concrete pipelines) located within the limits of Khavaran Street and the gas transmission pipelines and gas supply network identified within the construction site were assigned to the contractor. The concrete-steel joints found in the water transmission pipeline, disconnection of Southern Tehran water reservoirs from the water supply network, and the ongoing use of the gas transportation pipeline, the gas supply network and CGS stations were among the major problems of these two big projects. Drawing on its extensive experience, Iran Ertebat Engineering Company used the necessary machinery and equipment to implement the projects (construction site conflict resolution) in the shortest time possible and with the minimum water supply disconnection duration. The projects were successfully completed with the collaboration of Water and Wastewater Organization of Tehran and Tehran Province Gas Company.
